We're in the process of redesigning our living room. Always a fun project! Our goal- to make it colorful, elegant and kid friendly... to accommodate the needs of our 2 year old and her friends.
We'd like to have slipcovers for these 2 slipper chairs- currently covered in mohair velvet (not child friendly!)
Here are some of the the fabrics I'm thinking about and my findings with using online resources...
Love Modern Fabrics that sells quality fabrics, which otherwise would be in landfills, reclaimed from furniture companies and sold at a fraction of the cost- very cool!
These are the patterns I'm thinking of from them-
Knoll Suburban or Maharam Repeat stripe or Donghia Boboli. I've ordered my free samples and will wait to see them 'in person' and how they work in the grand scheme of things!
I'm also a fan of Hable Construction's bold patterns and bright colors- these are printed fabrics unlike the wovens above... a more casual look.
These patterns are- Beads in green bean, Lime stripe and Poppy in yellow
Also am an admirer of the mid-century patterns of Alexander Girard. I'm liking this pattern available online at Eames fabric. It's Mikado by Alexander Girard
Lastly, found a new resource out of Atlanta 'Staceage' kind of a fun and funky site and I like this fabric. Am debating whether I like it enough to go through the process of ordering a swatch!
Will keep you all posted as I make progress with this!
